A privileged partner since the beginning of Bindi Atelier's adventure, we work with India for its textile know-how, unique craftsmanship and traditional techniques such as the art of "BLOCKPRINT".

"FROM INSPIRATION TO DRAWING"

It all starts with a print, consciousnessly designed by us that takes its source in a journey, an image, a memory. A stroke of a pencil sketch flows into a  a more elaborate version that is drawn over the months.

Re-think, refine and adapt the design to the specificities of printing.

"THE POWER OF COLOURS"

We work with a master dyer to transcribe the beautiful colors imagined on the fabric.

All our dyes are created from AZO-FREE pigments and printed on 100% cotton fabrics

"THE BLOCKPRINT: AN ANCESTRAL KNOW-HOW"

To honour the craftmanship of our ancestors, all our items are hand-printed with engraved wooden blocks. This traditionnal technique is called blockprinting. A magical and fascinating handcraft that requires a perfect mastery of the technique.

Once the unique design is finalized, it is entrusted to the "Block-Master" who will meticulously engrave it by hand, with patience and know-how on the exotic wooden block.

"BRINGING THE PATTERN TO LIFE AND THE MAGIC HAPPENS"

Finally, the craftsman who is in charge of printing meticulously applies successive blocks of wood to the fabric repeating his gesture with patience and precision.

From the creation of the motif to the printing of the fabric and the choice of materials, your item is the result of the work of passionate craftsmen who have taken great care to make it.
